The Texas Chapter of the ACP Practice Management Center provides Texas-specific information for your practice, such as contact information for Texas' HMOs and PPOs. Texas government and health-related agencies are just a click away, via links to sites such as the Texas Department of Insurance, where you can find their prompt pay complaint form, the state's standardized credentialing form, and more. Texas health-related organizations, such as the Texas Cancer Center Data, are organized for handy reference.
In addition to Texas specific information, you will find a wealth of free information from the ACP practice management team, covering the spectrum of business issues associated with running and working in a medical practice. Recent postings include the HIPAA privacy and electronic transactions manuals, and a guide for marketing your internal medicine practice.
ACP offers an online discussion group (link) for small group practices that you may find helpful by drawing on other's experience to find solutions to a wide range of practice issues.
Your suggestions are welcome. Please send an e-mail to the Chapter Business Office to share other links that are helpful in your practice. Your additions will enhance this valuable member resource.
