The Council of Early Career Physicians (CECP) is a group of TXACP members that are within 16 years of graduation from medical school. Membership shall cover ACP membership categories of Member, Fellow and Master, but not Medical Student or Resident members. The mission of the CECP is to enhance the professional development and quality of life of early career physicians and fostering their involvement in College activities. The CECP strives to reflect the Chapter's composition of academic and practicing, urban and rural, various ethnic, racial, gender, training and otherwise diverse backgrounds of internists. Interested in Becoming the next Northern Co-Chair Elect?
We are currently looking for candidates for the Northern Co-Chair Elect. The Texas Northern Co-Chair Elect will serve as Co-Chair Elect for six months. As the Co-Chair Elect, you will participate on monthly conference calls, contribute to newsletter articles and observe the current Co-Chair. Once the Co-Chair’s term has ended, you will attend the three Texas Chapter of the ACP Board meetings held throughout the year. The Co-Chair elect will serve two years as the Co-Chair and one year as the Immediate Past Co-Chair. ACP has had intensive discussions with the American Board of Internal Medicine over the past several months about developing a Collaborative Maintenance Pathway.
